The ARS Classic!

Our third annual student-designed mini golf fundraiser is happening Friday, November 13, and our Stars are bringing the ideas, creativity, and problem-solving skills to every hole. No two holes are alike, and we can't wait for you to see what they've dreamed up.

Last week, we had a great time welcoming supporters of Austin Community Foundation's Women’s Fund to the Ann Richards School.

Our Stars led guests on a student-led tour of campus, sharing their favorite classes and spaces, and talking about what makes the Ann Richards School special to them. It was a great chance for our students to share their experiences, connect with guests, and give them a firsthand look at life at Ann Richards.

Visits like this give our Stars a chance to share their stories and help our community partners see the difference their support makes every day.

Last night, our Marching Stars debuted their 2026 contest show, Canto de las Flores, at the 53rd Annual Austin ISD Band Jamboree at Burger Center. Our Marching Stars and Stars Color Guard shared an incredible performance, and we are excited about their first competition at the US Bands - DeMoulin Central Texas Regional on Saturday, September 26th at Manor Athletic Complex in Manor at 2:15 p.m.

Yesterday morning, Star seniors Naelia H. and Ahtziri C. from the Latinx Student Alliance kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month with a special presentation during our all-school morning assembly.

They shared more about Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated from September 15 through October 15, and highlighted the history, culture, and contributions of Hispanics and Latinos.

We are proud to see our Stars take the lead, share their voices, and help us celebrate and learn throughout Hispanic Heritage Month.

The Stars Volleyball team defeated UIL District 24-5A rival LASA with a 3-0 sweep. Our JV and Freshman teams also swept the raptors for the program sweep on Friday night at Ann Richards. This week, the Stars Volleyball team travels to Bastrop on Tuesday, and plays at home on Friday in a big matchup against Anderson. Go Stars Volleyball Go!

The ARS Classic is back for year three!

What started as a brand-new idea has quickly become one of our favorite traditions.

The first two ARS Classics brought plenty of creativity, friendly competition, impressive student-designed holes, and a whole lot of fun. Now our Stars are ready to tee it up again.

Join us Friday, November 13, for 18 holes of mini golf designed and built entirely by our 7th grade Stars in the Ann Richards School MakerSpace. No two holes are alike, and every hole brings together engineering, design, and imagination.

Bring your friends, family, colleagues, or fellow alumni and see what our Stars have created this year. Compete for team prizes, hole-in-one prizes, and bragging rights, then stick around for the 19th Hole After Party.

A big first for the Class of 2027! Today, we celebrated our first fully submitted college application of the year on College Colors Day.

Congratulations to Star senior Norah C. on submitting her application to Colorado Mesa University. One application down, and an exciting college journey ahead.

Our seniors are officially getting into college-bound mode, with guidance and support from our Director of College Success Programs, Mr. Eric Heineman.

We can’t wait to see where the Class of 2027 goes next.
