As many immigrant families continue to navigate uncertainty, Welcoming Week offers a moment to acknowledge these realities while uplifting the stories and cultural traditions that strengthen our community.

Join us as we kick off Welcoming Week 2026 with a morning centered on community, belonging, and connection.

Inspired by this year’s theme, Stories We Share: The Courage to Connect, the kickoff will feature welcoming remarks, a City proclamation, an art gallery, cultural performances, opportunities to connect with community organizations, and resources that reflect and honor Austin’s diverse communities.
