This year, Kindergarten classes were fortunate to have a special guest, local author and illustrator, Mr. Bill Morgan, share a couple of his latest published works, Icky, Ick, Ick, reminding us that we all like different things, and I Wish I Was a Bigfoot, which had a silly and surprising ending the students really enjoyed. Thank you for sharing your talents and ideas with us, Mr. Morgan. We can't wait to see more of your stories!

What a State Meet for Becker Track & Field last week!

After outstanding seasons that included conference and section championships, our Becker athletes represented Bulldog Nation with incredible performances at the MSHSL State Track & Field Meet!

🏃‍♂️ Boys Highlights

🥈 4x800 Relay – State Runner-Up (2nd Place): Isiah Boyer, Evan Hubbard, Parker Spindler, and Tanner Felton broke another school record with a time of 7:54.98.

🏅 4x400 Relay – 6th Place: Isiah Boyer, Evan Hubbard, Brandt Hemmelgarn, and Tanner Felton

🏅 4x200 Relay – 9th Place: Justin Tarr, Tristan Kowalkowski, RJ Houle, and Blake Weisz

🏅 Tanner Felton – 4th Place, 3200 Meter Run: Tanner earned a spot on the medal stand while setting another school record with a time of 9:22.71.

🏃‍♀️ Girls Highlights: The girls team capped off a stellar season after winning both the Mississippi 8 Conference Championship and the Section 5AA Championship.

🥉 Ella Tschida – 3rd Place, Shot Put: Ella returned to State for the third consecutive year and set a new school record of 39' 6".

🏅 Sophia Otto – Pole Vault: Returned to the State Meet and cleared 9 feet.

🏅 Kali Schendzielos – 300 Meter Hurdles: Placed 14th with a personal-best time of 47.03.

🏅 4x200 Relay – 12th Place: Josie Reckelberg, Kali Schendzielos, Raelee Lyon, and Andie Changamire

🏅 4x400 Relay – 8th Place: Kendall Lamp, Adele Changamire, Katelyn Brower, and Andie Changamire set a new school record of 4:03.78 in the prelims before finishing 8th in the finals.

🏅 4x800 Relay – 6th Place: The same quartet placed 6th, running 8:29.64, the second-fastest time in Becker history.

Congratulations to all of our athletes and coaches on an incredible season filled with championships, school records, state medals, and unforgettable performances. We are proud of the way you represented Becker! 🐾💙🤍🏆

2nd graders took a field trip to explore the Mille Lacs Indian Museum this year! Students learned about the history, culture, and traditions of Native Americans in Minnesota through interactive exhibits and hands-on experiences.
