FALL/WINTER SCHEDULE LIGHTHOUSE: Saturdays 10:00 a.m. tours have resumed following the completion of our bridge project. NAVFAC: Historic Naval Facility - Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. Right next "down" to the Lighthouse! Join our guided walking tour up the side walking path of Point Sur "Rock" and through the historic lighthouse, living quarters, on-site carpentry/blacks

mith shop, barn, and more. Fantastic views from the back side of "the Rock" where you might see whales, otters, sea lions, and more. It's a sight you won't soon forget! Over at the NAVFAC learn about the top secret mission from 1958 - 1984 that sailors were accomplishing under the guise of 'oceanographic research'. Peek into some buildings being restored and preserved for generations now, and for those to come, to learn about the Cold War era.

Our first Hike-In Open House of the summer is next Wednesday, July 8!

To hike to the light station, park at the elephant seal viewing area 1.5 miles south of the light station or the parking lot at the vista point 1 mile to the north. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy wandering the light station between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Docents and staff will be on hand to answer questions, and the gift shop will be open.

Can't make it next Wednesday? There are three more dates scheduled for July and August.
