If you’re firing up the grill this weekend, take a few extra steps to keep your family, home, and neighbors safe 🌭🔥

Keep grills away from siding and decks, never leave them unattended, and always make sure coals are fully cooled before disposal.

A safe summer starts with small habits. Stay safe and enjoy the weekend!

🔥🌲 Wildfire Mitigation Fridays: Week 8 🌲🔥
One project. One weekend. A safer home.

This week’s focus: Zone 3 (30–200 feet from your home)

This is the outermost zone of your defensible space. The goal here is to reduce wildfire intensity and help slow the spread of fire across your property and the surrounding forest.

This weekend, take a look around your property and:
• Remove dead trees and vegetation
• Thin overcrowded trees and brush
• Remove heavy accumulations of pine needles and debris
• Create separation between tree canopies where possible
• Maintain access for emergency responders and evacuation routes

A healthier forest is a more resilient forest. Strategic thinning and cleanup in this zone can help reduce the risk of fast-moving wildfire.
