Blair Community Schools Blair Community Schools - Where All Students Learn. Students are challenged in a core curriculum of language arts, social studies, science, and mathematics.

The District grade level configuration includes three Primary Centers, located at North, South, and Deerfield Elementary Schools (grades PK-3), opened in the fall, 2008, an Intermediate Center at Arbor Park (grades 4-5) opened in the fall of 1990, Gerald Otte Blair Middle School (grades 6-8) opened in the fall of 1997 and Blair High School (grades 9-12), opened in fall of 1970. A full range of aca

demic and activity programs ensure that the young people of the Blair Community School District are given every opportunity to explore their potential. Additional courses are offered in fine arts, physical education, health, career and technical education, and computer education. Our district has placed an emphasis on technology integration in the curriculum and has provided the resources to make this goal possible. Each classroom is connected to our extensive network, the entire District houses wireless internet connections and each school has access to computer labs,smart boards, interactive response devices and laptop computers for student and staff use. A full range of special services are offered for students in need of these programs. Over 60 separate clubs, organizations, activities, and athletic teams are part of the strong co-curricular program in the Blair School system. Blair Community Schools offers a comprehensive program for all students. Working together with community leaders and parents “a promise of quality” is something that continues to be a hallmark of the Blair Community Schools.

Blair Community Schools will be liquidating various old or obsolete items by sealed bid sale. Items can be viewed at 764 Iowa Street (Bus Barn) between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday, June 1, 2026, through Thursday, June 4, 2026, or by appointment by calling 402-426-4509.

Bids for items must be submitted and placed in a sealed envelope with the name and phone number of the bidder and marked “Bid for Surplus Sale”. Bids must be submitted to the Office of the Superintendent of Schools, 1326 Park Street, Blair NE 68008 on or before Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Bids will be opened at that time. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Items will not be available for pick up until the sale is approved by the Board at the Monday, June 8, 2026, Board meeting. Due to the potential of strong storms in the area on Monday, the NSAA has adjusted the state finals game schedules.

The Blair Bears will now play:
Tuesday, May 19th at 4:30 PM at Morrison

If you already purchased a ticket to the game, you should have received an email from Ticketmaster with your updated ticket information.

Blair Community Schools will have an early dismissal at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 18 for all schools.

We are excited to share that our BHS Girls Soccer team won their game today and has advanced to the State Championship for the first time since 2001!

The team will play Lincoln Pius X on Monday, May 18 at 4:30 PM at Morrison Stadium.

To allow our students, staff, and community the opportunity to support the team, Blair Community Schools will have an early dismissal at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 18 for all schools.

We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes and the way they represent Blair. We hope to see our community come together to support the Bears as they compete for a state title!

We are excited to share that our BHS Girls Soccer team has advanced to the State Tournament! The team won their first game this week and will play Skutt this Saturday at 2:00 PM at Morrison Stadium.

If the team wins on Saturday, they will advance to the State Championship game on Monday at 4:30 PM, also at Morrison Stadium.

In preparation for this possibility, Blair Community Schools will plan for an early dismissal at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 18 only if the team wins on Saturday and advances to the championship game. If the team does not advance, we will have a normal dismissal schedule on Monday.

We wanted to communicate this now so families can plan ahead. We will send a final confirmation and additional details following Saturday’s game.
