We're partnering with Tim Lewis and Contra Culture to bring Contra Dance Lessons to the Library!

Contra Dance is an early American form of dance similar to square dancing. It comes to us from New England, but finds its roots in Europe — a wonderful concoction of English country dance infused with French and Scottish forms. The music is typically up-beat, traditional New England folk music featuring fiddle, guitar, and piano. We look forward to sharing this lively and energetic dancing style with you!
