More opportunity for digital access through digital opportunities work at High Country Council of Governments!

The library and our Girls Who Code group, appreciates and are thankful to High Country Council on Government. Through their digital grant, the library was able to gain access for each of them to have a forever laptop. This will come in extremely helpful for our coding class. Thanks so much, especially to Tatianna and Fred!!

Congratulations to WDB staff Debra Foxx, Operations & Compliance Manager along with Caroline Briggs, Finance Officer; Tammy Nelson, Aging Services Coordinator; and Victoria Oxentine, Communications Manager, of the High Country Council of Governments (HCCOG) on their recent graduation from the NC Rural Center Homegrown Leaders program.

This three-day regional leadership and community economic development program is designed to develop and support highly motivated leaders committed to strengthening regional collaboration.

The training, held in Boone from June 23 to 25, drew existing and emerging leaders from across North Carolina.
