Dear Cedar Wood Families, Staff, and Community,
As we close out the school year, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible Cedar Wood community.
This year, the PTA was able to support so many meaningful programs and efforts, including family events, student programs, staff appreciation, classroom support, community partnerships, fundraising, and the Food for 40 program. We have loved seeing the Sea Wolf school spirit grow this year, starting with the Back to School Bash, which helped set the tone for the year, and continuing through new and exciting events like the Sea Wolf Olympics. The Sea Wolf Olympics exceeded our fundraising goals and showed the amazing spirit, generosity, and enthusiasm that make Cedar Wood so special.
While we were disappointed to miss out on Trunk-or-Treat this year, that experience also helped us strengthen communication and planning for the future. Our hope is that moving forward, the events our students love can be supported with volunteer opportunities that are clear, accessible, and easy for families to sign up for in whatever capacity they are able.
We also saw incredible volunteer engagement through Konstella. This year, 985 volunteer hours were recorded, with 668 job positions served, 332 committee positions filled, and 256 parents volunteering at least once. These numbers are a beautiful reminder of what happens when a community shows up together.
After much thought, we are sad to announce that will be stepping down from our roles as PTA Presidents at the end of this school year. We stepped into these roles because we cared deeply about keeping the PTA going and supporting the students, staff, families, programs, and events that make Cedar Wood such a special place. It has truly been an honor to serve this community.
While we are stepping away from leadership, we remain grateful for the opportunity to serve and are excited to support Daisy and the PTA moving forward.
With that, we are excited to welcome Daisy Jung as PTA President for the 2026–2027 school year. Daisy has graciously stepped up to take on this role and brings great knowledge and experience from serving as Volunteer Coordinator and stepping in mid-year as Vice President. We are confident this will make for a smooth transition and a fantastic year ahead.
