Bowers Beach Maritime Museum The museum houses artifacts of Bowers, the Delaware Bay and the watermen of the area. It is open weekends, Memorial Day through Labor Day, 2 PM - 4 PM.

So if you missed the Bowers Beach Buccaneer Bash on Memorial Day Weekend – as all potential pirates did due to its storm-safety cancellation – all is not lost. Tomorrow, Saturday, June 13, we’re all invited to celebrate the Bowers Beach Maritime Museum’s 50th Birthday. Although it’s strictly pirate-optional and a far more intimate occasion, the noon-to-4 p.m. celebration offers a great opportunity to explore the town’s big maritime past in the expanded museum at 19 Williams Ave., 19946 – and try your hand at the bocce courts.
