Our department is currently receiving an influx of calls regarding fraudulent text messages.
PLEASE BE ADVISED: Bridgton Police Department does not send text messages to notify citizens that they have warrants for their arrest.
We know that this is currently happening and we want our community members to know that we are aware of the issue and that if you have received any similar correspondence, it is indeed a scam. Please do not provide any personal information in return or make any payments.
It is not necessary to call and report these incidents if you receive a message, UNLESS you have sent money in response.
We do recommend that you block the number from further messaging and report these incidents to the Federal Trade Commission using the link below:

We had a fantastic turnout for National Night Out! 🎉

Friends, please join us in officially welcoming our newest Park Ranger, Reiyn Hart, to the team. Reiyn will join our current Park Ranger, Owen, to keep a positive and safe presence at Bridgton’s beaches and parks this summer. Either on foot, by bicycle, or on the department's electric Trikke, the Park Rangers are your friendly non-enforcement BPD liaisons.
