Honoring Memorial Day at Bridgton Public Library

As we reflect on Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. This day is a time for reflection, gratitude, and remembrance of the courage and dedication of those who gave their lives for our freedoms.

While many of us mark the long weekend with gatherings and the unofficial start of summer, Memorial Day carries a deeper meaning—an opportunity to reflect on the lives lost and the families forever changed by their service. We honor their memory and express our heartfelt gratitude for their sacrifice.

At Bridgton Public Library, we are grateful to be part of a community that values remembrance and reflection. We encourage patrons to take a moment this Memorial Day to honor those who served, whether through quiet reflection, sharing stories with loved ones, or exploring books that help us better understand our nation’s history and the people who shaped it.

From all of us at the library, we wish you a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. We will remember. 🇺🇸

Spring is in full bloom, and it’s time to get growing! We had a special Planting Storytime at Bridgton Public Library this morning, complete with a beautiful watering can craft decorated with colorful flowers.

We shared delightful stories about gardens, seeds, and all the wonderful things that grow, along with songs, activities, and hands-on fun inspired by the magic of springtime and planting season. Storytime is such a wonderful way for children and caregivers to learn, play, and connect, and with the Lakes Region coming alive all around us, it feels like the perfect time to celebrate growth, imagination, and new beginnings.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning! We can’t wait to see you again next week as we continue nurturing the seeds of imagination together. 🌱📚🌷
