Final Primary Election Night Update 🗳️ (11:30 PM)

Box Elder County has posted the unofficial results for the June 23, 2026 Primary Election.

According to the Election Night Last Report, 8,847 total ballots were cast, with a total voter turnout of 29.23%.

All election-night precinct reporting has been received, with 52 of 52 precincts reporting. However, this does not mean the results are final.

These results are preliminary and unofficial. Totals may change as additional eligible ballots are processed before the election is finalized through the canvass.

The Election Canvass is scheduled for July 7, 2026, at 4:00 PM.

Thank you to everyone who voted, volunteered, worked at our Vote Centers, and helped support Election Day in Box Elder County.

The Regular General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. All eligible registered voters may participate in the General Election.

​Now – July 7 (4:00 PM): Keep in mind that tonight’s numbers are just preliminary totals. The official final results will be certified on July 7, after our team fully processes all valid mail-in and drop-box ballots over the next two weeks.

⏰ Returning Your Ballot
Can I put my ballot in the mail right now?
No. Do not put your ballot in the mail. If you put it in a mailbox now, it will not count.

Where do I take my ballot instead?
Drop it off at an official secure drop box or hand-deliver it to a vote center before 8:00 PM.

I'm not registered. Can I still vote tonight?
Yes! You can register same-day at either Vote Center until 8:00 PM.

Bring two forms of ID:

Why are there no Democrats on my primary ballot?
There are no contested Democratic Primary races in Box Elder County today. Uncontested candidates automatically advance to the November election.

I'm a Democrat or Unaffiliated. Can I vote on anything?
Yes, depending on your neighborhood. All active voters in contested local precincts can vote in the non-partisan School Board races, regardless of political party. Go to a Vote Center before 8:00 PM to get a local school board ballot.

The November General Election
Today is just the primary to narrow down the candidates. The 2026 Regular General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

In November, all registered voters—regardless of political party affiliation—will receive a full ballot. You will be able to vote on U.S. Congress, state legislative seats, local county positions, judicial retentions, and proposed constitutional amendments.

​⚠️ Important Ballot Update: It Is Too Late To Mail Your Ballot

​If you have not yet mailed your ballot, it is now too late to send it by mail. To ensure your vote is counted safely and on time, please choose one of these two options:

​Use A Ballot Drop Box: Securely drop off your ballot at an official location. Visit Boxeldercountyut.gov/elections to find a drop box near you.

​Vote In Person: Join us at one of our official voting centers on Election Day.

​Polls will be open on Tuesday, June 23, from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
