Today, Manross Memorial Library proudly hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Georgine Downes Cawley Garden. This beautiful garden was generously donated by her son, Peter Cawley, and daughter-in-law, Leslie Cawley, in honor of Georgine's memory. The garden was thoughtfully designed and planted by landscape architect Claudia Dinep of OUTSIDE Landscape Architecture and Ecological Design. Its native plantings and welcoming design beautifully complement our existing certified Monarch Waystation, which is lovingly maintained by library staff and dedicated volunteers from the Friends of the Bristol Public Library. We invite everyone to visit our gardens this summer to enjoy these vibrant outdoor spaces. While you're here, be sure to participate in our Monarch Garden Scavenger Hunt, taking place throughout July. We look forward to welcoming you! Thank you to City Council Liaison Steve Seymour and members of the Friends of the Library for joining us today.
