It’s hard to believe it’s already been a week since our Brooklyn Dreams Back to School Bash!
Our Bash was a wonderful opportunity to bring our community together before everyone fully settled into the rhythm of the new school year. Families, scholars, staff, and community organizations all had a chance to connect, spend time together, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon outside of the usual school-day routine.
We were especially excited to welcome organizations from our community that offer after-school programs and other resources for families. Creating opportunities for our families to meet these organizations face-to-face helps strengthen the connection between our school and the broader community around us, while also giving families access to programs and opportunities that can support their scholars throughout the year.
But beyond the resources and information, the day was really about connection.
Parents had an opportunity to connect with one another and with staff. Scholars got to enjoy time with their friends and the people who make up their school community. Staff had a chance to step outside of the day-to-day responsibilities of school and simply enjoy time with the families and scholars we serve.
After all the preparation that goes into getting ready for a new school year, it was meaningful to have a moment where we could come together, relax, laugh, and enjoy being a community.
Thank you to every family, scholar, staff member, and community partner who helped make our Back to School Bash such a warm and welcoming event. We’re grateful for the continued partnership and support that make moments like this possible.
The school year is officially underway, and we’re excited for all that’s ahead. Here’s to a year filled with learning, growth, connection, and plenty of opportunities for our Brooklyn Dreams community to continue growing together!
