Good Morning!

We would like to say "thank you" to everyone that stopped by our tent on Saturday! We enjoyed serving you and all the chats. We surely appreciate your support and gratitude ❀️

It was a beautiful day and the weather held off but that rain was refreshing at the end of the day. I personally didn't get the chance to walk around but it was wonderful to see so many vendors, it was the most I have ever seen.

THANK YOU to our members that put in all the hardwork to make it a successful day and to our "bonus" volunteers that helped complete the team effort and joined us under the tent to help throughout the day. We definitely couldn't have done it without you.

Congratulations to our two raffle winners! πŸ₯³

Larry won $46 in the 50/50 raffle and generously donated it back to the BVFC.

Blane won the Blackstone Grill and is eager to pick it up this evening.

Great crew tonight for some pump training and hydrant testing. Tonight we used E2 for training and even tested out the deck gun, which is always a highlight for the person operating it. πŸ˜‰

Mother Nature gave us the perfect weather once again for a night of training.

We would like to thank Jen Noble and Chad Pine for hosting a vendor/craft fair today and donating a portion of the proceeds to us. We are grateful you thought of us and for your support.

We set up a table today selling our t-shirts, Blackstone Raffle tickets and kick-started our 50/50 raffle. Both raffles will be drawn at the conclusion of Brownfield Day.

Thank you to the vendors/artists/crafters that participated today and to everyone that stopped by our booth. We appreciate seeing members of the community and having a moment to chat.

By now you are probably aware of the weather we have headed our way for tomorrow and the days to follow.

Here is some great information from the National Weather Service. BE PREPARED and check on those most vulnerable.

The BCC will be open as a cooling station and that information is also included.

Stay hydrated, try to stay cool and stay safe!

The weather sure has been in our favor for our recent trainings. 😁 Thank you Mother Nature!

On Saturday, members did bi-annual UTV training. This entails driving a course through diverse terrain, navigating and pumping water from a source using the mini pumper on the UTV. Members then drove back to our base to extinguish the "fire".

Tonight began our "summer" training sessions for pumping and checking hydrants. We checked 3 hydrant sources and found 1 of the hydrants to be broken and were unable to pump from it. Training like this is beneficial for the town as it gives us opportunities to check hydrants and be sure they are properly functioning so they can be repaired/replaced ASAP.

Thank you to our members for spending a beautiful Saturday and tonight to train.

Last night we received a generous matching donation from the Masons. They matched our donations of $402 from the Mother's Day Breakfast.

We joined them for a lovely cookout dinner before accepting the check at the beginning of their meeting. We are incredibly grateful for their support, one Mason spoke saying last week's Searsmont fire is a reminder of what volunteer firefighters face and sacrifice when we answer the call and thanked us for doing so for the community.

It was a pleasure, as always, to spend time with these incredible men also serving their community in many ways. We are grateful for you support, generosity and definitely your company!

Thank you to Whit and French Fry for representing the fire department and BVFC last night alongside me.
