The Willow Center It is our mission to create solutions, empower individuals, and inspire healing. Welcome to the Willow Family!

The Willow Center is a DMHA-certified outpatient substance use treatment and mental health counseling center. We provide high-quality, evidence-based, innovative services for substance use disorders and other mental health or life concerns. Our number one goal at The Willow Center is to provide you uniquely better care and compassion that you won’t get anywhere else, a truly "boutique" treatment experience. Five years of Dr. Mahmud! 💜

He is the counselor of counselors. On any given day, you can find someone from our team in his office, taking a moment to regroup, seek wisdom, or simply catch their breath.

Dr. Mahmud is a quiet force who commands respect without ever demanding it. He is kind, incredibly patient, wise, and a published author. But what makes him truly special is the way he treats people.

He has a rare gift for leaving people better than he found them. And those of us who have the privilege of working alongside him are better because of it.

Simply put, he is one of the best humans you’ll ever meet. A rare gem, and someone this world could use a whole lot more of.

It was Walter's birthday this week and we are so grateful for the work he is doing with the teens at Hope Academy, the only recovery high school in Indiana. He is making an impact there and moving the needle in their lives. They are embracing what he has to offer. He is a man of deep faith, believes in people, and always willing to give grace. He is patient and kind, and the type of professional every organization needs on their team. We wish him a very happy birthday week. 🎂

October is Substance Use Prevention Month. For us that just means helping people before it gets worse. That's what we're here for.
