A few reminders for folks about trash and recycling :

✅ Place trash and recycling curbside by 7:00 a.m. on your collection day

✅ Collection times can change at any time based on weather, traffic, road construction, and truck problems

✅ Casella is adding another truck this week because of the heat (so their guys don't get overheated) and routes will be finishing earlier in the day

✅ There is trash and recycling collection Friday, July 3

🚧🚧Road Work Alert: Crooker will begin mobilizing equipment to Maine St for the mill and fill project tomorrow, Thursday, July 2. They will leave some equipment parked in the street parking spots just north of the McKeen St intersection over the 4th of July weekend.

Milling efforts will begin Monday, July 6, at the Bath Road intersection and will continue through that week through the project area (Bath Rd intersection to Mere Point/Maquoit split). 📢📢UPDATE: We have given Crooker permission to begin work at 4am on Monday, July 6 only. They want to do their work and get out of the Bath Road intersection before morning traffic picks up. On all other days, they should have a normal start time of 7am.

📢📢UPDATE: Beginning Monday, July 6, there will be no street parking from 4am to 7pm on Maine St. from the Bath Rd. intersection to the Mere Point/Maquoit intersection to accommodate pavement milling operations. Street parking in this area during these times will remain closed until the milling operation is complete and a shim layer of pavement has been placed, which is expected to be completed by the end of the day on Friday, July 10, but may extend into the week of July 13 depending on weather. Please follow signage and plan to park elsewhere during this time period. Thank you for your patience!

Crooker’s current schedule shows the project being completed by the end of July. Traffic will be maintained throughout the project area and duration.
