☀️SMS Field Day 2026!

What an incredible day of fun, laughter, and celebration at SMS Field Day! Our students enjoyed an action-packed day filled with water balloons, water slides, basketball games, volleyball matches, and even a dunking booth that kept everyone smiling.

More than just a day of fun, Field Day was a celebration of an amazing school year. We are proud of the growth, achievements, and perseverance our students have shown throughout the year. It was wonderful to see our school community come together to make lasting memories and celebrate all that we have accomplished.

A huge thank you to our staff, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this day such a success. We are grateful for a school community that works hard, supports one another, and knows how to celebrate together!

Here's to a fantastic year and an even brighter future for SMS! 🎉

WOO HOO!! YOU ALL ROCK! 🙌🎉

A gigantic shout-out to our incredible teachers, students, and families for making today's testing an absolute, roaring success!

In fact, our Principals have been bragging all afternoon about just how incredibly hard their students worked today. They could not be prouder of the focus, determination, and grit shown in every single classroom! 🌟👏

Talk about a total team effort. Check out these amazing numbers:
📊 ~740 3rd-8th grade students scheduled to test today.
🚫 Only 5 students did not attend.

An attendance rate that high only happens when everyone works together.

🍎 To our Teachers: Thank you for your endless prep, encouragement, and dedication.
🏡 To our Families: Thank you for getting kids to bed early, managing morning routines, and reinforcing the importance of showing up.
🎒 To our Students: Thank you for showing up, bringing your A-game, and making your principals brag!

We are delighted to acknowledge the achievements of our students who presented at the Maroon Meeting. During the event, four special staff members, Ryan McMahan, James McNab, Mike Dehart, and Deb Cloer, were honored for their outstanding leadership.

In addition to the recognition, pins and stickers were distributed to both staff and students, symbolizing their participation and support for Mental Health Awareness.
