Buckner Elementary School

Buckner Elementary School Buckner Elementary is one of the five elementary schools in the Fort Osage School District. We serve students preK through 4 grades.

We welcome your comments as a means of sharing your own experiences, suggesting improvements or chiming in on the conversation. To keep our page focused, we have set some comment guidelines.

1. This page is moderated and all comments are reviewed by the Fort Osage School District Public Relations Department.

- Off Topic. We will delete comments not related to the subject of the page entries.

- Spam. Comments focused on selling a product or service will not be posted.

-Inaccurate. Posts that include misinformation will be removed.

- Personal Attacks. If you disagree with a post, we'd like to hear from you. We do ask that you refrain from personal attacks or being disrespectful of others.

- Illegal. Laws that govern use of copyrights, trade secrets, etc., will be followed.

- Language. Comments including but not limited to: profane or provocative language, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive or derogatory content, threats, obscene or sexually explicit language will be deleted. The moderator also deletes news items that are out-of-date or no longer timely.

Today we celebrated student growth and achievement on the state assessment from last spring! Current 4th graders returned to their 3rd grade teachers and classrooms for a time, and Mrs. McSwain and I had lunch with the 5th graders at Fire Prairie. We celebrated with smiles, encouragement, pride, and cookies!

Tomorrow is the First Day of School! We are so excited to have students back in the building. Parents, you may walk your child to their classroom on the first day only if you would like! Please enter through the front main doors to do so.

Reminder doors open at 8:15am (tardy bell is at 8:30am).
Dismissal is at 3:21pm.

We have a great day planned-- a huge thank you and acknowledgement to the Buckner Elementary team for the hours of preparation and work they put into be ready for tomorrow.
