The fun kept rolling during State Fair Week at The Rivers! 🎪 From the unforgettable "No-Talent" Talent Show that had everyone laughing, to our Arts & Crafts Show & Tell filled with creativity, and a festive Beer Tent Happy Hour, there was something for everyone to enjoy. 🎡🌻 State Fair Week is Off to a Great Start at The Rivers! 🌻🎡

We're having a blast celebrating our annual State Fair Week!

On Monday, residents enjoyed a classic movie afternoon featuring State Fair, bringing all the nostalgia and fair-time fun. 🎬🍿

Tuesday was packed with excitement as a mobile greenhouse stopped by for a special plant shopping experience. Residents had the opportunity to browse and purchase beautiful plants and flowers to brighten their homes. 🌿🌼

The fun continued with State Fair Bingo, generously hosted by our friends at Interim Healthcare & Hospice. Residents enjoyed friendly competition and great prizes! 🎯🎉

Thank you to everyone who helped make the start of State Fair Week so memorable. We can't wait for all the fun still to come! 💙

🚗✨ Our 5th Annual Classic Car Show was a huge success!

Residents, families, and guests enjoyed an incredible afternoon admiring 25 beautiful classic cars, featuring the Southern Cruzers Car Club and many other stunning vintage vehicles. From chrome classics to timeless favorites, there was something for everyone to enjoy!

To make the day even sweeter, guests cooled off with delicious treats from the Mik Mart Ice Cream Truck. 🍦☀️

A big thank you to the Southern Cruzers Car Club, all of the car owners who participated, and everyone who joined us for this wonderful community event. We are already looking forward to next year's car show!

🍇🧀 Teamwork never tasted so good! 🧀🍇

This week's Happy Hour was extra special as our Activities and Culinary teams partnered together to create a beautiful and delicious charcuterie board for residents to enjoy. From savory meats and cheeses to fresh grapes and pickled veggies, every detail was thoughtfully arranged and absolutely enjoyed by all!

We love seeing our departments work together to create meaningful experiences that bring residents together for good food, great conversation, and plenty of smiles. A huge thank you to our amazing team members for making Happy Hour such a success! 💜

🍪❤️ A sweet afternoon in Memory Care!

Our residents enjoyed a morning of baking delicious chocolate chip cookies together. Everyone took turns measuring, pouring, stirring, and of course, taste-testing along the way! 😊

The smell of freshly baked cookies filled the neighborhood as residents worked together, shared smiles, and created a tasty treat to enjoy. Activities like baking not only bring back memories but also encourage social engagement, creativity, and cherished memories.

And let's just say the cookies were a hit... we may have even caught one resident sneaking a cookie before lunchtime! 😉🍪

💙 We are grateful for our partnership with Interim Healthcare & Hospice, who provide home care and hospice services to many of our residents at The Rivers.

Last week, James, one of their Hospice Case Managers, joined us to provide education about hospice care and answer questions. Interim also brings fun and engagement to our community by hosting Prize Bingo and other special events throughout the year.

🐾🎶 Wednesdays are one of our favorite days in The Rivers Memory Care Neighborhood! 🎶🐾

Every week, we are blessed with two very special visitors who bring comfort, joy, and connection to our residents. Tucker, our beloved volunteer therapy dog, stops by to share tail wags, cuddles, and plenty of smiles. 🐶❤️

We also look forward to Pastor Hank's weekly visit, where residents gather to sing cherished hymns and enjoy a welcoming, non-denominational service filled with faith, fellowship, and reflection. 🎵🙏

These meaningful moments brighten our week and remind us of the power of companionship, music, and community. Thank you, Tucker and Pastor Hank, for sharing your time and hearts with us each Wednesday! 💙

☀️💦 Who says you can’t have a pool party when you’re a senior? Last week, our residents found the perfect way to beat the heat by kicking back and cooling off with a relaxing foot soak in the "courtyard pool"! 😎🌴

There was plenty of laughter, sunshine, and fun as everyone enjoyed the warm summer weather together. At The Rivers, we believe making memories and enjoying life has no age limit! ❤️
