Always a pleasure spending time with our local students. Thank you to the many volunteer readers, our library and the schools for your continued support of this great program.

Today we kicked off the Mayor’s Reading Club!
This special partnership between the City of Casa Grande and the Casa Grande Elementary School District brings community members into K–3 classrooms to share favorite stories and inspire a lifelong love of reading.

While many of our volunteer readers are City employees, Ironwood Elementary welcomed an extra-special guest today - the mayor herself!

We Honor and Remember 9.11.01❤️

Twenty-five years ago, many of us stood in disbelief as we watched the events of September 11 unfold. No matter how much time passes, the anniversary brings back the shock and sorrow of that day.

We each have a story about where we were and what we were doing when we heard the news. Today, an entire generation has grown up without personally experiencing the profound impact of September 11.

We must continue to share the stories of those who lost their lives, the heroes who answered the call, and the unity, compassion, and service shown in the days that followed.

We will never forget.

Great week at the AZ League of Cities and Towns Conference with my fellow
Council Members and our Youth Commission. This conference brings leaders from 92 Cities and Towns throughout Arizona to learn and discuss how we can better our individual communities as well as showcase our city. Key topics discussed were on Water, Power, Safety, Housing, Transportation, Economic Development and Public Engagement. I am humbled and honored to receive an award for my 16 years of service to the Citizens of Casa Grande. Thank you to the League!

Today we celebrate the birth of our nation and the enduring values of freedom, opportunity, and unity that bring us together.

As we gather with family, friends, and neighbors, let us also take a moment to honor the brave men and women who have served—and continue to serve—to protect the liberties we enjoy.

Casa Grande is a community built on resilience, kindness, and pride. I am grateful to serve as your mayor and proud to celebrate this special day with all of you.
