🚨 SUSPECT ARRESTED AFTER OFFICERS FIND HIM TAKING A BATH

Early this morning, Castle Hills Police officers responded to a residence for a reported possible burglar. The homeowner reported that her dog woke her up and she could hear someone moving around inside her home. She immediately locked herself in her bedroom and called 911.

Officers quickly responded, secured the residence, and made entry with the homeowner's assistance. While clearing the home, officers discovered a male suspect in the bathroom — taking a bath.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Officers determined the suspect had allegedly entered the homeowner's vehicle, taken a spare house key, and used that key to enter the residence without permission. The suspect then locked himself inside the home and was found using the homeowner's water.

Evidence was documented and collected, and the suspect was transported to the Bexar County Jail for further processing.
Great work by Ofc. Galan #509, Ofc. Trejo #514, Cpl. Arriola #517, and Sgt. Tomblin #506 for their quick response, thorough search, and safe resolution of a very unsettling situation for the homeowner.

🔒 A QUICK REMINDER FROM CASTLE HILLS PD
Please remember to:

• Lock your vehicle every time you leave it.
• Never leave valuables inside your vehicle.
• Keep your vehicle locked, even when parked at home.
• Lock all doors and windows to your home.
• Turn on your exterior lights at night.
• If you see something suspicious, don't hesitate to call 911.
Taking a few extra seconds to secure your vehicle and home can help prevent criminals from gaining easy access.

Stay safe, stay alert, and help us keep Castle Hills safe!

COVERT OPERATION LEADS TO FIERY CRASH THAT PUTS WANTED BURGLAR BEHIND BARS

Using a tactic known as “Directed Patrol,” Castle Hills Police detectives regularly work covertly in unmarked vehicles during the overnight hours to identify criminal activity, apprehend offenders, and help deter crime.

On the night of September 19, 2026, a Directed Patrol operation led to a fiery crash, sparks that could be seen for a mile, and a large-scale power outage after a wanted burglar attempted to evade a CHPD detective.

Just before 11:00 p.m. on Saturday night, an undercover Castle Hills Police detective observed a suspicious vehicle in the 1000 block of Jackson Keller Road. The occupants appeared to be surveilling a local Castle Hills business that was closed for the evening.

As the detective attempted to make contact with the vehicle, the driver fled northbound on Jackson Keller Road at a high rate of speed. Near the intersection of Loop 410, the driver lost control and crashed into a utility pole, causing a large power outage and leaving the surrounding area in darkness.

The driver fled from the crash on foot but was quickly apprehended following a foot pursuit involving the CHPD detective and a patrol officer. The vehicle became engulfed in flames but was quickly extinguished by the efficient response of the Castle Hills Fire Department.

A female passenger in the suspect vehicle was seriously injured during the crash after being thrown into the windshield. She was transported to an area trauma center, where she is currently receiving treatment.

The driver was identified as 40-year-old SAHARA ORECE DELEON GREER. Greer was wanted on a felony arrest warrant for Assault-Family Member-Strangulation. He also has a lengthy criminal history and now faces additional felony charges stemming from the crash.

Fortunately, no innocent members of the public were injured. Greer is now in the Bexar County Jail, where he is being held on a $150,000 bond.

Directed Patrol operations conducted by CHPD detectives earlier this week also resulted in the apprehension of a mail thief who was caught in the act, as well as a suspected vehicle burglar who was caught while setting up to commit his crime in Castle Hills.

We are pleased with the results of these recent Directed Patrol operations. These efforts are just another example of CHPD working proactively and doing whatever it takes to help keep our community safe.
