Being in community can be hard, it can be messy, and it can be difficult to navigate how to approach the harm that humans inflict on other humans.

Our Interpersonal Violence Policy is our effort to help partners, volunteers, and community members feel safe and protected. We encourage everyone to read our blog post, our IPV Policy, and use our IPV Policy template to help design a similar policy.

The last video in our Homegrown Roots series that highlights the local food movement as well as encourages people to get more fresh food on the table and spark local connection.

We all need each other. The series features food system experts who share the connective power of buying local foods. Up before the sun, all across the state, Arizona farmers, food, hubs, farmers markets, and food banks are working hard to bring local food to their communities. Programs like encouraged shoppers to double their SNAP/EBT benefits at local food markets like farmers markets, grocery stores, and farm stands around the state.

Video also available on our YouTube channel.

This video series was funded by USDA’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - SNAP through the AZ Health Zone. We are forever thankful for their support not only for this initiative, but also for their decades long leadership in Arizona’s nutrition and physical activity landscape.

Closing out the year, we are introducing the first of our food system videos from our eight-part video series.

Homegrown roots is a video series encouraging Arizonans to join the local food movement and support their local Arizona farmers, as well as opportunities to support getting more fresh foods on the table and sparking social connection. The series features food system experts who share their origin stories, professions, dreams, and ways for the community to get involved.

This ‘discovering local farms’ video features Rachel Opio from Little Lighthouse Farm and Andrea McAdow from Rosebird Farms

Video made possible through Arizona Health Zone (SNAP-Ed).

2025 was a year of heartbreak, hard lessons, growth, and hope. We are grateful for what we’ve learned, and we’re grateful to be in community with all of you.

With these challenges, we saw our communities coming together with care, our partners stepping up to fill the gaps of community needs, we heard our collective voices rise above the discourse, fighting for collective change. We felt the hands of our partners, of institutions, and community members guide us as we continue to navigate through the fog of uncertainty, being our beacon in the dark. We felt heavy loss this year, and we are grateful that we didn’t have to grieve alone.

Most of all, we felt the love and care so many have for this work, for our food system, and for each other. Together, we can go further. Together, possibilities are more than ideas.

Pinnacle Prevention will be closed for the holidays from 12/22/2025 through 1/2/2026. We are looking forward to continuing this work with everyone in 2026.

In October, we introduced our new eight-part video series made possible through Arizona Health Zone (SNAP-ed). It’s Your Move includes four videos dedicated to Joyful Movement and Homegrown Roots will showcase four videos from partners helping to grow a more just food system.

The second video of the It’s Your Move series, we bring you to Globe, AZ to take in the Stairizona Trail, an inspired and unique urban walking network that reconnects historic mining staircases with more than 60 vibrant murals, mosaics, and sculptural pieces celebrating the towns flora, fauna, and mining heritage.

It’s Your Move video series encourages Arizona’s to “join the movement” to rethink and influence the ways we get around our communities as well as how we develop and use public spaces to spark more physical activity and social connection.

Thank you Dr. Thea Wilshire and Regina Ortega-Leonardi from Love Where You Live and Dr. Richard Ramos from Miami Unified School District.
