Chaparral Middle School students were invited to visit New Mexico State University (NMSU) for an exciting campus tour and career exploration experience. Students learned about different college degrees, career opportunities, and educational pathways while meeting new people and exploring what college life has to offer. This experience encouraged students to dream big, explore their interests, and begin thinking about their futures. We are proud of our students for participating in this wonderful opportunity to learn, connect, and discover new possibilities!

Today was a busy day at CMS. We had an attendance challenge 7th vs 8th grade and 7th won it they had the better attendance for two weeks! They were rewarded with 10 extra minutes of lunch and Ice Cream Sandwiches. To close out the day we had our teacher vs students dodgeball and basketball games where the 8th grade soccer and basketball teams had a chance to play against the teachers of CMS! Teachers won both games but everyone had lots of fun! A thank you to our partners in education from Ft. Bliss for joining us today.

Finally a huge thank you to our custodians we honored them today, they truly are the unsung hero’s of any campus. Thank you for keeping our campus clean and shining! We didn’t get a picture of them but we celebrate you ladies!
