FIVE SCHOOL SHOUT-OUTS: We’ve been highlighting the test results and accountability data for the 2025-2026 year. You can read about all of the results on our website, but we want to share five outstanding school shout-outs with you.
▪ Ashbrook High School had the most significant increase in student proficiency (+12.4) among the high schools and is just one point away from a B school performance grade.
▪ W.P. Grier Middle School had the most significant increase in student proficiency (+8.2) among the middle schools and is among the most improved in the state for academic growth.
▪ Sherwood Elementary School increased its school performance score by 20 points, going from an F to a C school performance grade and having the most significant increase in student proficiency (+19.1) among the elementary schools.
▪ South Point High School is just one point away from having an A school performance grade.
▪ Southwest Middle School achieved an academic growth score of 100, which means that all student groups either met or exceeded expectations. In state rankings on the academic growth index, Southwest is sixth in the state, which is a significant accomplishment.
