Together, we can π
Deborah McMillan-Key from the Alzheimer's Association visited our community to share some valuable information about how to best support brain health. She taught us a few simple lifestyle changes that our Members can start doing immediately to help support their health. One of the things she talked about was the importance of 7-9 hours of sleep every night π΄ to help fully rest after every day. She also shared that you should be working your brain with puzzle games π§© and reading often, too.
After our visit from the Alzheimer's Association, we held an ice cream social fundraiser π¦ to support the important work they do. Both Members and team members made donations and enjoyed ice cream with all the toppings: fresh strawberries, mini M&M's, crushed Oreos, peanuts, sprinkles, chocolate, caramel, or strawberry sauce, and whipped cream with a cherry on top. It was a fun and delicious way to support the Alzheimer's Association's efforts. π
