Our baking club got some fresh new aprons this week, and they could not wait to show them off! 👩‍🍳✨ These new threads are the perfect addition to our wardrobes to make our baking club feel extra special. 🧁 These ladies made enough peach cobbler to share with the community! 🍑 We're excited to taste the results this afternoon, warm with a scoop of ice cream! 🍨

🍑 Easy Peach Cobbler
1 can of peaches (or 2 cups sliced peaches)
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
½ cup melted butter

Pour butter into a baking dish. Mix flour, sugar, and milk; pour over butter. Add peaches (don't stir). Bake at 350°F for 45–50 minutes until golden brown. 🥧✨

We have started a new experience, and it's been a real hoot! 🦉 It's called Cahoots with Clinical, and it grows in size every week! 📈 They have started picking a local restaurant to take our Members to that is a complete surprise. 🍽️ There were lots of laughs, lively conversations, and full bellies. 😄 We truly appreciate our clinical team; they not only keep our Members healthy 💙 but also provide opportunities for social connection, which is so special. ✨

Say hello to Martha, one of our very special Members. 👋💙

This Member Spotlight series we have been doing has really given everyone in the community an opportunity to get to know what makes each of our Members so special. ✨ Martha was born with cerebral palsy. Early in her life, doctors told her family that she would struggle with independence, education, work, or family. With the unwavering support of her adoptive parents, ❤️ a strong faith, 🙏 and remarkable determination, 💪 Martha refused to let those predictions define her future. 🌟 She graduated from college with a degree in Elementary Education and later earned a master's degree in Special Education. 📚 Martha went on to become a teacher, dedicating her career to helping students with disabilities discover their strengths and reach their full potential. Along the way, she built a family of her own, marrying and raising two children. ❤️ Now 85 years old, Martha looks back on a life filled with purpose, love, and service. 🌟 Her story is a powerful reminder that a person's potential should never be limited by others' expectations, 💙 and that resilience, perseverance, and the support of those who believe in us can open doors once thought impossible. 🚪✨

Congratulations to our July Wellness Warrior, Mark! 🏆🎉

Our Wellness Associate Kimberly recognized Mark for his consistently demonstrating his athleticism by actively participating in daily exercise, including our 10:00 fitness classes, 🏋️ plus volleyball, 🏐 co****le, 🎯 and basketball. 🏀 In addition to Mark's regular attendance in athletic offerings, he brings his trademark sense of humor, sportsmanship, and positive attitude, making programs more fun for fellow Members. 👏💙

We LOVE our entertainers, 🎶❤️ and this week Patrick Hudson just reminded us why we love them not just for their talent 🎤🎸 but for so many other reasons too. We are in the middle of some very exciting renovations in our lobby (stay tuned 👀), and we have not been able to host him in his usual spot. Instead of rescheduling his show, he simply re-worked his equipment and packed out our activity room for our Members. 🏡🎉 His infectious smile truly lights up the room, so we can't thank him enough for all he does for our Members! 💙👏
