At the Youth Peace Summit in The Hague, our five Footsteps Ambassadors joined 150 young leaders from 62 countries to have honest conversations about the challenges facing our world – and the role their generation can play in creating a better future.
They shared Echo’s AI for Humanity curriculum, listened to perspectives from students across the world, and experienced what can happen when people from different backgrounds come together with a shared commitment to peace. They also participated in the creation of a charter regarding youth involvement which was presented to government officials to implement.
This experience was a valuable reminder that some of the most important lessons come from listening to others, asking questions, and seeing the world from other’s perspectives.
We’re so proud of these students for representing our community and bringing the lessons, relationships, and hope they found back home to inspire others.
