We will take it! Eaton County Department of Resource Recovery's Recycling Programs are free, open to all Eaton County, Michigan residents, and effective! Drive up to the recycling trailer, and staff will help you unload your car and separate your materials.

Questions about recycling? Our staff can help with that, too!

Eaton County residents are on pace to recycle well over 200,000 pounds of plastic, metal, glass, paper and cardboard through the county recycling programs.

All recycled materials are processed and baled at the department operated Sunfield Recycling Center, where the materials are sold directly to manufacturers, guaranteeing your recycled materials don't end up in the landfill!

Incredible program, right here in Charlotte!

Forest gardens aim to mimic the structure and function of natural forests, which don't require irrigation, fertilization, and pesticides to grow and thrive, while providing food and other useful products to communities.

Forest gardens, such as the Eaton Conservation District's, also aim to provide conservation value by emphasizing native plants for the area's wildlife!

We need your help to keep the Charlotte Forest garden healthy and thriving. Volunteers can assist with seasonal maintenance tasks such as weeding, watering, mulching, and installation of drip irrigation.

🌿 Volunteer Litter Clean-Up at Keehne Environmental Area

Help make a difference by joining Eaton County Parks for an evening of litter clean-up at Keehne Environmental Area. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to help keep our parks clean and beautiful.

Nitrile gloves and trash pickers will be provided. The Eaton County Resource Recovery Team's Recycling Trailer will also be on-site to help identify what items can and cannot be recycled.

Please dress appropriately for the weather, wear closed toe shoes, and bring anything you may need to feel comfortable while working outdoors. This may include additional protective gear, a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, or other personal items.

We appreciate everyone who volunteers to help care for Eaton County Parks! 🌎💚
