This summer Spartan Diving in conjunction with the Charlotte Aquatic Center has built a massive dryland room that contains 3 dryboards, 3 trampolines, and lots of dryland strength building tools. Spartan Diving would like to extend the opportunity of taking advantage of this facility to all area middle school and high school divers and their coaches.
We want to help all divers in the area to move forward in their skill. Dryland is an excellent opportunity for divers to have lots of repetitions and build consistency and confidence. Dryland is a great place to practice all the body positions and progressive skills to harder dives. This will also be used as an opportunity to teach conditioning and strength building that can be done at home.
Dryland Diving Camp will be held on Fridays from 11:00am - 1:00pm. Camp will be held on June 12th and 19th, July 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st. There are six total dates. An athlete can pay $40 to come for one day, or $200 for all six dates. All athletes attending camp must join AAU as part of Spartan Diving. This will provide insurance for the athlete, the coach, and the facility. Our AAU Club Code currently is UCER34K5D.
Coaches are not required to come with their athletes. Divers can take advantage of this opportunity without their coach present. Anyone that comes to dryland camp will need to pay the camp fee. Dryland Camp for divers is $200 for all six dates or $40 per day.
Interested in participating? Here are the steps to take to participate in camp.
Step 1:
Sign up for Camp:
Email Julie Davis ([email protected]) to let her know you are interested in participating. She will email you a form to fill out that gives your basic information and which dates you will attend.
Step 2:
Get signed up for AAU Diving Membership:
Please go to www.aausports.org and join AAU Diving under The Spartan Diving Club. Please renew with the added Benefit under Youth Athlete for $26.69. You must print off the
membership card and present a copy before you begin practicing. Our AAU Club Code currently is UCER34K5D: AAU Memberships run Sept 1st 2025 to Aug 31st 2026.
Step 3:
Payment for Camp
Please bring your payment to camp the first day. You can bring cash or a check made out to Spartan Diving Mid Michigan LLC. Camp is $230 for all six dates or $45 per date for divers.
Step 4:
What to Bring
Please wear comfortable clothes – shorts and tshirt. Bring a suit and towel in case we go in the water at the very end, but most likely, we will remain dry for all of camp. Please bring a filled water bottle with you as well.
