We have been home and host to the leaders of the 20th century. More than a century of history and hospitality is behind everything we do. Built in 1915 and tripled by its most famous owner James Buchanan Duke, The Duke Mansion has been home and host to leaders of the 20th century. Duke’s most lasting legacies, including Duke University, Duke Energy and the Duke Endowment, took shape at the home. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Mansion is now operated as a nonprofit Historic Inn and Meeting Place, with all proceeds being used to preserve and protect this community treasure.

Before we say goodbye to Cocktails in the Garden for the season, We're doing one more last call!

Join us September 21 from 5–8 PM for our final garden gathering of the year.

Spend your evening wandering through the Mary D.B.T. Semans Gardens, enjoying cocktails from the bar, picking up a few light bites, and catching up with friends. You can also join our 5:45 PM history tour for a little more of the story behind Duke Mansion.

A $10 suggested donation supports Duke Mansion, and Preservation Society and Colonnade members attend as our guests.
