Tomorrow morning, we gather at Aquarium Plaza to induct new names into our Bricks of Honor.

On a day when our nation remembers the lives and courage of September 11, we will also honor the veterans, first responders, families, and everyday Americans whose stories deserve a permanent place in one of our community’s most special public spaces.

Join us at 2 Aquarium Plaza. We will begin reading the names of our first inductees at 9:59 a.m.

Every name has a story, tomorrow we honor theirs.

🇺🇸 HONORING A LEGACY OF COURAGE & COMMITMENT 🇺🇸

Three years ago today, Captain Larry L. Taylor received our nation’s highest military honor—the Medal of Honor—in recognition of his extraordinary heroism on June 18, 1968 during the Vietnam War.

On this day, then 1st Lt. Taylor risked his own life to save four American soldiers who were surrounded by enemy forces. With extraordinary Courage and unwavering Commitment to his fellow soldiers, he landed his Cobra attack helicopter under intense enemy fire and brought all four men to safety.

Today, we honor Captain Taylor’s remarkable legacy and the example he left for future generations.

We invite you to visit the Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center in Chattanooga—the Birthplace of the Medal of Honor—and see Captain Taylor’s exhibit, where his incredible story of Courage and Commitment comes to life.

History in Their Hands
