Twenty-five years later, we still remember.

On September 11, 2001, our CEO, Air Force Brigadier General (ret.) Kevin Hyde was serving on Guam, finishing a night training mission when a crew member called and told him to turn on the television. Alongside his team, he watched as the attacks unfolded, witnessing the second tower struck, the collapse of the World Trade Center, the attack on the Pentagon, and the tragedy of Flight 93. In that moment, he knew life had changed forever and that he and countless others would soon be called to serve.

Today, on the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we remember the 2,977 lives lost, honor the courage of first responders, and recognize the sacrifices made by military members, families, and communities in the years that followed.

Perhaps most importantly, we remember that nearly 30% of Americans were born after 9/11. Their memory of that day depends on those of us who lived it, witnessed it, and carry its lessons forward.

Visit your favorite Millennium Bank location to drop off used tennis shoes and visit with friends!

Our tennis shoe donation drive is in full swing. Millennium Bank is still collecting gently used shoes at all Chattanooga locations to benefit the Partnership Domestic Violence Shelter.

If you've been meaning to drop off a pair, now's the time. Every shoe donated helps turn old sneakers into real support for survivors in our community.
