Celebrate Halloween with the Queen Anne’s County Historical Society on Saturday, October 31!
Enjoy three spooktacular events in one day: a Children’s Victorian Magic Show at 3 PM, a family-friendly Spooky House at Historic Tucker House at 6 PM, and Ghost Stories at Wright’s Chance at 7:30 PM!

Celebrate Halloween with the Queen Anne’s County Historical Society!
Join us on Saturday, October 31 for an afternoon and evening of Halloween fun at two of Centreville’s historic houses. At 3:00 PM, bring the children to the Gathering Room at Wright’s Chance for a special Children’s Victorian Magic Show featuring magician Mike Rose. Admission is free, but seating is limited to 35 people, so advance registration is required.
At 6:00 PM, head across the street to historic Tucker House for Spooky House, a longtime Historical Society Halloween tradition. Children can trick-or-treat their way through the decorated first floor of this real historic house, collecting candy along the way. Spooky House is free and no registration is required.
Then, after dark, return to Wright’s Chance for Ghost Stories—the perfect ending to a Halloween evening surrounded by history.

Local Business Spotlight: Mark Cascia Vineyards

Cheers to Mark Cascia Vineyards on Kent Island for earning multiple awards for two of their latest w**es!

Their Queen Anne’s Reserve 2021 earned a silver and bronze medal, while Noir 2021 brought home two silver medals at the Atlantic Seaboard W**e Association and Maryland Governor’s Cup w**e competitions.

Proudly grown, harvested, and produced right here on Kent Island, these award-winning w**es showcase the quality of local craftsmanship and agriculture in Queen Anne’s County.

As owner Mark Cascia shared, these w**es are “a perfect example of what our vineyard on Kent Island can produce.”

Looking for a fall outing? Visit their tasting room on Thompson Creek Road, open Saturdays and Sundays from 12–4 p.m. through November.
