🌟 Meet Darlene Kaelin!

For 21 years and counting, Darlene has been an important part of LCCC’s Outreach & Workforce Development team. As one of our Administrative Assistants, she’s often the person everyone turns to for help, information, ideas, and support—and her knowledge and dedication have played an integral role in OWD’s growth over the years.

What has kept her at LCCC for more than two decades? The people. Darlene says seeing students meet their career goals and working alongside staff who consistently go the extra mile is what makes her work so rewarding.

Outside of LCCC, Darlene loves spending time with her five grandchildren, camping with her husband Mike, geocaching, fishing, reading, and putting together puzzles—often with her 91-year-old mother-in-law. She and Mike have also been country dancing since they met 30 years ago! 🤠

And if you want to get on Darlene’s good side, a pumpkin dessert probably wouldn’t hurt. 🎃

We’re excited to kick off our OWD Staff Spotlights by celebrating someone who has given so much to our team and the students we serve. Thank you for all you do, Darlene! 💙💛
