The Department of Public Safety (DPS) would like to thank the Honorable Tribal Chief Cyrus Ben for the wonderful meal and the encouraging words shared with all personnel on Thursday, May 14th. Both truly lifted spirits, and DPS is very grateful for the kindness.

Additionally, CPD thanks Tracy Waiter & Family and the Standing Pine Boys & Girls Club for the breakfast sandwiches, and thanks to A’iannah Evans for the snacks and beverages today, Friday, May 15th.

On Wednesday, April 16, 2026, the Choctaw Police Department hosted a training conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) dealing with victim-centered approach for multidisciplinary team (MDT) members in Indian Country.

Approximately 45 personnel from different disciplines of MDT consisting of FBI, CPD, CDC, CFS, CCAC, FVVS, AGO, and Safe Trails Task Force members were in attendance.
