The Tribe's Pearl River Resort was nominated for the national PLANSPONSOR Plan Sponsor of the Year award, a recognition highlighting organizations that demonstrate strong retirement and financial wellness programs for employees.

Representatives from the Tribe recently attended the awards event in Nashville, Tennessee, including Tribal Chief Cyrus Ben, along with Krisan Williams and Kelli Jones. Pearl River Resort was represented by Chief Financial Officer Joseph Castillo.

Office of Economic Development staff members Anna Denson and Hayden Nickey have received their FAA Part 107 certification, which allows individuals to legally operate drones for commercial use.

This training will strengthen our department’s ability to conduct in-house site assessments, capture high-quality aerial imagery, and support mapping and planning efforts. By incorporating drone technology into daily operations, staff will be able to collect data more efficiently, enhance marketing materials for prospective businesses and partners, and reduce reliance on contracted services.

𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 (𝗠𝗗𝗔𝗛)

The Tribe has authorized a surveyor crew from MDAH to conduct a cultural resource survey on Tribal lands. The crew will be driving a Truck [Grey, Ford & F150] AND a Service Vehicle [unknown car color, make and model].

The truck will be well marked to indicate they represent MDAH. They will be working throughout the Tucker Community on Tuesday, June 9 and Thursday, June 11 from 9 - 4:30 pm.
