Construction is making great progress at Gringo's Mexican Kitchen in City of Cibolo! The building is taking shape, and we’re excited to welcome another great dining destination to our community.

We can’t wait to beat the Texas heat with a cold beverage perhaps one of Gringo’s signature frozen margaritas and enjoy plenty of Tex-Mex favorites, including their well loved queso, tacos, fajitas, and more. 🌮🧀🍹

🤝 Economic development is a team effort that succeeds through regional collaboration and strong partnerships.

The City of Cibolo was proud to participate in the San Antonio Manufacturers Association SAMA August Special Edition Luncheon, where our Assistant Director of Economic Development, Clancy Hardin, served as a panelist alongside regional partners from Seguin and New Braunfels during the "State of Manufacturing""discussion.

The conversation focused on the opportunities and challenges facing manufacturers across Central Texas and the important role communities play in supporting business growth, workforce development, and long-term economic success.

Representing Cibolo at the event were Kara Latimer Cibolo Mayor, City Manager Wayne Reed, members of the Cibolo Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors: Justin Triesch, Charity Rodriguez, and Terry Hinze along with Luke Killion, Economic Development Specialist.

Events like these demonstrate that economic development doesn't happen in one department it takes collaboration across City Council, the Mayor, the Cibolo Economic Development Corporation Board, City Administration, Planning, Economic Development, and our regional partners to create opportunities for businesses, residents, and the entire community.

Thank you to the San Antonio Manufacturers Association SAMA for bringing together industry leaders, economic developers, and local officials for an engaging discussion on the future of manufacturing in our region.

We were proud to welcome representatives from Sumitomo Corporation to City of Cibolo for a visit with AISIN Texas Corporation, one of our valued local employers and an important part of the regional automotive manufacturing supply chain.

Did you know? AISIN Texas Corporation manufactures transmissions that support Toyota production, including the Tundra and Sequoia built in San Antonio, as well as the Tacoma. Their presence in Cibolo reflects the strength of our community, our workforce, and the continued importance of advanced manufacturing in our region.

Visits like this reinforce something we believe deeply in economic development: it is all built on relationships. Strong partnerships between companies, communities, regional allies, and international partners help create long-term opportunities and continued investment.

We are proud to have Aisin in our community and grateful for the chance to help highlight the incredible work happening right here in Cibolo.

A special thank you to the greater: SATX for working with us to help coordinate this visit, and to our invited guests Jeff Webster with the Greater San Antonio Chamber, Maggie Titterington with The Chamber , Justin Triesch, CEDC Board President, and Wayne Reed, City Manager of City of Cibolo and Kara Latimer Cibolo Mayor for joining us and helping represent the strength of our regional partnerships.

Please be traffic aware on 1103 tomorrow.

🚧 FM 1103 PROJECT UPDATE: TxDOT will close FM 1103 overnight on Thursday, June 11, 2026, to install permanent stormwater culverts under FM 1103, located between Green Valley Road and Weidner Road, to address recurring flooding at this location.

From TxDOT: Lane closures on FM 1103 between Green Valley Road and Weidner Road are scheduled overnight on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists should expect delays and consider an alternate route.

Drivers traveling through the area can detour by heading southbound on FM 1103 from Weidner Road to FM 78, then westbound on FM 78 to Roy Richard Drive. From there, travel northbound on Roy Richard Drive to Interstate 35, then continue northbound on I-35 to the FM 1103 exit.

Motorists are urged to use caution, follow posted signage, and allow extra travel time.
