Thanks to the Texas A&M Forest Service, HB 2604 and Advance Rescue Systems, today we received our new TNT battery-powered extrication tools, Glas-masters and accessories. Personnel have already trained on these tools and they will be going into service immediately.
Battery-powered tools provide extra portability as well as a quieter work environment vs. hydraulic power plants, which allows for easier communication during the extrication process.

The La France fire truck had a long day and is headed home. We will still be handing out child safety bracelets for anyone interested at the fire station 117 North Concho Street.

The day has started off a little wetter than we had hoped for, but the rest of the afternoon/evening is looking promising!

With a large event coming up this weekend, we’re offering child safety wristbands to help keep families connected.

Wristbands can be placed on children and include a parent/guardian’s contact information in case they become separated.

Location:
Our 1928 La France fire truck will be set up on the north end of Commercial Avenue, near the shuttle drop-off at the courthouse. A firefighter will be there to assist with filling out wristbands. If a lost child is located, a law enforcement officer will make contact and coordinate reunification.

Helpful tips in case of separation:
• Take a same-day photo of your child (showing clothing, hairstyle, etc.)
• Choose a clear and visible family meeting spot ahead of time
• Teach children to seek help from a uniformed officer, event staff member, or first responder

Family Reunification Points:
• Inside the fenced area: Medical tent on the NE corner of the main stage block (look for the “Medical” flag)
• Outside the fenced area: Fire station at 117 N. Concho Street (2-story brick building with fire apparatus)

We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable weekend—we’re here if you need us!

🌧️Easter Egg Hunt Update 🌧️

Due to the forecasted weather, we are sadly canceling the Easter Egg Hunt at the City Park this year. 💔

BUT… we didn’t want the fun to stop there! 💛

🥚✨ We have bags of Easter eggs ready for YOU at the Chamber! ✨🥚

We’d love for families to stop by, from 2pm-5pm to grab a bag, and create your own Easter egg hunt at home when the weather clears! 🏡🌈

Let’s keep the Easter magic going—just a little differently this year. 💕

📍 Stop by the Chamber to pick up your eggs!

Thank you for understanding, Coleman—we can’t wait to celebrate together again soon! 🐰🌷

The burn ban for Coleman County has been lifted. Please remember to exercise caution when burning. If you are planning to burn in the county, or burning in a barrel in the city, call dispatch at 325-625-3506 and they will add you to the daily burn log to prevent unnecessary dispatching of emergency resources. If you would like to burn on the ground in the city limits, you can apply for a burn permit at the fire station 117 N. Concho Street.
State law only allows burning during daylight hours and prohibits burning anything other than natural wood products, such as limbs and leaves.
Stay safe everyone!
