Such a special way to show care for one another and for our community. ❤️ Often, we can look to children to remind us what kindness, generosity, and caring for others really look like. What a beautiful example of welcoming and supporting our New American youth! Community Refugee and Immigration Services (CRIS)

This summer, a group of young friends in Upper Arlington turned their back-to-school party into a school supply drive for New American youth — collecting supplies for students in CRIS’ youth mentorship program, Community Connectors.

For many New American youth and their families, back-to-school season brings extra stress: navigating unfamiliar systems, tight budgets, and fears about personal safety.

Donations like these are small but powerful reminders that Central Ohio is a place of welcome!

Want to help? Here’s how: Drop off school supplies at the CRIS Office on Wednesdays, 10 AM–6 PM. For more information, contact Jeremy Hollon at [email protected].
