Our scholars are putting their Ag vocabulary into action and diving into Agricultural History!

They kicked things off with the Caveman Farmer Challenge, exploring what it would be like to build, manage, and sustain a community without any modern technology. From problem-solving to teamwork, our students are learning firsthand just how important agriculture has been throughout history.

We have a few important reminders and updates for you this week:

🔐 7th & 8th Grade Lockers Are Available!
Lockers are now available for our 7th and 8th graders! Students simply need to turn in the locker form distributed by their homeroom teacher, bring a combination lock, and they’re all set! Please see the attached flyer for more information!

👕 Daily Uniform Compliance
Please help us ensure your scholar is in full uniform every single day: Legacy polo shirt with khaki, gray, navy, or black pants. Thank you for helping us maintain our schoolwide expectations!

📚 Homework & Learning
Please help us make certain that your scholar is completing homework assignments and coming to school each day ready to learn, participate, and stay focused. Your partnership at home makes a tremendous difference!

💻 Check ProgressBook!
Each scholar was given a Parent Login Sheet with information to access ProgressBook. Please check your scholar’s backpack for this important information. You can use the login information to access the portal and view your child’s most current grades and academic progress.

Good Evening Legacy Families,

The safety and security of our scholars is always our highest priority. Beginning tomorrow, September 2, Legacy Academy will be implementing updated student dismissal procedures. We ask for your cooperation and patience as we work together to ensure that every scholar is released safely to an authorized adult.

Effective tomorrow:

-A valid driver’s license or government-issued photo ID will be required to pick up your child. This applies to all dismissals, including regular end-of-day dismissal and early dismissal.

-Students may only be released to an authorized adult. Students will not be released to siblings.

-Parents must remain in the car and wait for their child’s name to be called.

-Please do not ask staff members to make exceptions to the dismissal procedures. These procedures apply to every family and every dismissal.

-Please have your driver’s license or photo ID readily available when you arrive for pickup to help us keep our dismissal moving as efficiently as possible.

We understand that changes to established routines can take some getting used to. However, these procedures are necessary to maintain a safe and secure environment for all of our Legacy scholars.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and partnership as we work together to keep our children safe.
