I was honored to join Glenn S. Wingenbach Jr.’s family, veterans, and members of our community for the dedication of the Glenn S. Wingenbach Jr. Memorial Highway. It means so much to see a local hero remembered so close to the home where he grew up. Thank you to Dave Hackedorn for helping make this tribute possible. It is always inspiring to see our community come together to honor those who gave so much for our country.

It was an honor to attend the ribbon-cutting for the newly renovated Charles Mill Marina. This investment will make a meaningful difference for boaters, families, and visitors who enjoy this special place, and I’m grateful to everyone whose partnership and hard work brought this project to life.

Back to school season is just around the corner, and Ohio’s Sales Tax Holiday is this weekend, August 7–9! I hope it helps families save a little as they prepare for the new school year.

I’m proud to support Taking Root Farms and to have helped secure a $400,000 investment in the state’s capital budget. This project will do so much good for our community by creating a welcoming place where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities can learn, work, and connect while also giving our community a new space to enjoy fresh farm products, handmade goods, and the kind of care and connection that make our community stronger.

Proud to share that Ohio has been named the #1 state to do business, a direct reflection of the great work people are doing in our communities. State Senator Mark Romanchuk and I helped secure $20 million for broadband expansion and nearly $3 million for capital projects. Additionally, Richland County saw nearly $127 million in capital investments and 95 new jobs, according to the Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development. We’re not done yet!

I’m proud to share that the Ohio House recently adopted four resolutions recognizing some outstanding athletes in our district! Congratulations to the Shelbywhippets boys and girls 4x100 relay teams on their state championships, and to Shelby’s own Madison Henkel on her Division III state title, along with Lexington Schools boys 4x800 relay team on their state championship. We’re lucky to have such talented and hardworking student-athletes representing our communities!
