Heritage Fire Equipment is proud to represent Sutphen Corporation, the oldest, continuously owned and operated fire apparatus manufacturer in the United States. Sutphen is a world class manufacturer of Aerial Platforms, Aerial Ladders, Custom Pumpers, Tankers, and Heavy Rescue apparatus. Sutphen began in 1890 as a dream of C.H. His son, Harry, took an interest in the business and carried it on until his death. Harry's two sons, Thomas and Robert, joined the business after World War II. They gained experience and job responsibility over the years, with Robert becoming Chairman of the Board and Thomas, President of the Company. Sutphen is in its 127th year of operation; making it the oldest continuously owned and operated fire apparatus manufacturers in the country. Never reorganized, owned and operated by anyone other than a Sutphen, family atmosphere is apparent.

Last week, Noblesville Fire Department stopped by to pick up their new UTV. This apparatus will provide rapid response to community events throughout the year.

The Can-Am Off-Road Defender features the QTAC Fire EMS-RG skid and a warning light package. A removable custom built roof structure allows for patient care with protection from the elements.

The Fairborn Fire Department has officially taken delivery of their new Sutphen
SPH100 100' Aerial Platform, and this truck is built to perform.

Mounted on Sutphen's Monarch Extreme Duty Chassis with their largest 73" cab, this apparatus combines aerial capability, storage, and firefighting functionality in one impressive package. Key features include:

✅ 100' aerial platform with 1000 # tip load
✅ Over 300 cubic feet of compartment space
✅ 450-gallon water tank
✅ Hale 2000gpm pump
✅ 141' of ground ladders
✅ Low hose bed with capacity for 800' of 5"
✅ Whelen LED warning light package
✅ Fire Research Spectra LED scene lighting

Congratulations to the City of Grandview Heights, Ohio Fire Department on the recent delivery of their new Sutphen custom engine.

This new engine is equipped with Sutphen's Extreme Duty Chassis with seating for 5, a short 186" wheelbase for enhanced maneuverability, a Waterous 1500gpm pump paired with a Waterous AQUIS foam system, a 750 gallon water tank with 20 gallon integral foam cell, and an extruded aluminum body with enclosed ladder storage and lowered hose bed - still achieving over 230 cubic feet of compartment space. Visibility is handled with a Whelen LED warning light package and Fire Research Spectra LED scene lights.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten. As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, we reflect with gratitude on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who gave everything to protect them.

From all of us at Heritage Fire Equipment, we thank and remember our fallen heroes.

Heritage Fire Equipment Welcomes Guy Reece as Inventory Specialist

Columbus, Ohio – May 22, 2026

Heritage Fire Equipment is pleased to announce the addition of Guy Reece to its team, where he will serve as Inventory Specialist.

A Columbus native, Guy brings valuable experience in inventory and warehouse management with a strong focus on organization, efficiency, and operational support. His attention to detail and commitment to keeping processes running smoothly make him a great addition to the Heritage Fire Equipment team.

In addition to his operational background, Guy is also an active real estate agent, providing him with a unique blend of logistical expertise and client-focused experience. His ability to build relationships and understand customer needs aligns well with Heritage Fire Equipment’s commitment to service and support.

Outside of work, Guy is a dedicated family man who enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.

We’re rounding out our throwback look at apparatus deliveries with one from late last year - this sharp Sutphen custom pumper delivered to the SouthPoint FireDept.

Built on a Sutphen Monarch Extreme Duty chassis, this custom pumper features a Hale 1500 GPM pump, extruded aluminum body with a lowered hose bed, enclosed ladder storage, and more than 220 cubic feet of usable compartment space. The truck is also equipped with a Whelen LED warning light package and Fire Research Spectra LED scene lighting to maximize visibility on every scene.

A great-looking and highly capable apparatus built to serve the South Point community for years to come. Thank you to the South Point Fire Department for the opportunity to be part of this project!
