The youth soccer leagues at your local community centers need experienced officials during game times. Games are played on Saturdays between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Westgate Community Center, Wilson Road Park and Far East Community Center. Help coordinate fun and safe play times!

Thank you to the amazing staff who responded to the call for help!

After an EF1 tornado swept through Columbus on Tuesday, Aug. 11, Columbus Recreation and Parks teams came together to clear storm debris, starting that very same day.

Here’s what’s been accomplished so far:
· Two 30-yard dumpsters filled with debris and logs at Topiary Park
· 8 chipper truckloads of chips dumped
· 5 dump truck loads of debris and logs dumped

There’s more work to be done, and our Parks and Forestry teams are working hard to tackle every request. We thank them for their hard work and dedication!

City crews are installing the floodgates on Greenlawn Ave, north of Lou Berliner Sports Park, due to the flooding caused by heavy rains. Roads remain closed until water subsides.

We are partnering with Team Rubicon, which is providing free storm recovery help to Columbus residents at no cost to you or your community. You can request help with fallen trees on private property, cleaning out basements, placing tarps on roofs, and other storm-related cleanup by calling 311.
