Floating into the Summer & Floating into Second Grade!

Today our amazing First Grade students celebrated the end of a wonderful school year with a fun parade! Our hallways were filled with smiles, excitement, and lots of cheering as students, staff, and families came out to support and celebrate them.

We are so proud of all they have accomplished this year and can’t wait to see them soar in Second Grade! 🌟

What an amazing day for our Barnes Running Club at the Beach to Bay Relay! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Our boys team brought home 1st Place in their division, and our coed team 2nd place in their division! We could not be more proud of the hard work, determination, and heart our students showed throughout this season and during the race. A huge thank you to our incredible coach for dedicating your time to training and encouraging our students every step of the way. Your commitment truly made a difference. Thank you as well to all of our supportive parents and our wonderful community for cheering on our runners and helping make this experience possible. What a great turnout for our 4th Annual Fancy Nancy Literature Tea Party! Special guest reader, Pete the Cat, helped make the day extra fun and memorable for our students.

One of the highlights of the event was watching our 4th graders partner with a PreK student to read together and share the joy of literacy. Our Reading Fairies — made up of wonderful volunteers and district guests — also helped spread the magic of reading by giving every child a book to take home.

Thank you to all of the volunteers, staff, and guests who helped make this event so special. We appreciate your support in creating meaningful literacy experiences for our children! 💕

A huge THANK YOU to all of the amazing families who came out and supported today’s event!

Special thanks to Coach Carrillo and Coach Camacho for organizing and putting everything together — your hard work and dedication truly made this event a success!

We also want to recognize all of our incredible volunteers and PTA members for giving their time, energy, and support behind the scenes. Events like this would not be possible without each and every one of you.

Tonight was Elementary Honor Choir performance, and what an incredible experience it was! We are beyond proud to have our own shining stars represent our campus with such talent, confidence, and heart. 🎶✨

A special thank you to our amazing music teacher, Ms. Garcia, who has been instrumental in the growth and success of this choir program. Her dedication, passion, and encouragement have helped these students find their voices and shine on stage.

Congratulations to all of our performers on a beautiful performance and a memorable night for our district! 💙🎤
