The Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking the public’s assistance with an investigation into vehicle break-ins that occurred during the early morning hours of September 6th and September 19th.

Have you been a victim?
If you or someone you know had a vehicle broken into during these timeframes but have not yet reported it, please contact us. An official report may provide investigators with additional information that could be important to the investigation.

Have security or doorbell camera footage?
If you live in the rural areas of Pottawattamie County and have home security or doorbell camera footage showing individuals or vehicles around your property during the early morning hours of September 6th or September 19th, investigators would like to hear from you.

Even if you don't believe your footage shows anything significant, please take a look and contact us if you see anything that may be related.

Sheriff Brown recently had the privilege of swearing in our newest Deputies!

Please join us in welcoming Deputy Justin Dillard (78-3) and Deputy Jared Dupps (78-41) to the Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Dillard has been a certified law enforcement officer for many years and has already begun Field Training as he gets familiar with our area, our agency, and our way of doing reports.

Deputy Dupps will be starting his training at the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in just a few short weeks as he begins his journey toward becoming a certified officer.

We are excited to have both of them on board and look forward to watching them grow in their new roles.

JAIL FACILITY MAINTENANCE WORKER II

An individual in this position is responsible for performing a variety of routine and complex maintenance, service and repair duties to assist in the upkeep of assigned Sheriff’s Office and County Jail Facility equipment and properties. May be assigned to assist with other County properties as necessary.
