🎃👻 Middle School Halloween Fun at Cuba-Rushford! 👻🎃
Our middle school students enjoyed a spooktacular Halloween event filled with fun, laughter, and school spirit! Students had the opportunity to show off their creativity during the costume competition, get festive face paint designs, and participate in a variety of lawn games in the gym.
It was wonderful to see so many students engaged, having fun, and creating positive memories with their friends. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success!

Cuba-Rushford Ski Club passes are now available. Members of the community are welcome to purchase passes and are not limited to the Ultimate Select Thursday Night passes. High School and Middle School students who will only be skiing on Thursday nights should get the Ultimate Select Thursday Pass ($191 before Nov 1) It is preferred that the season passes be purchased online, however Mr. Kenyon has a limited number of paper forms for those who prefer to use cash or check.

For students (High School and Middle School) riding the ski club bus from Cuba-Rushford on Thursdays (we depart as soon as a bus is available after school; generally close to 4pm. At the end of skiing/snowboarding, we depart Holiday Valley at approximately 9pm, and the bus arrives back to the school at approximately 10pm.

Students riding the bus will need:
o Thursday night ski pass $191 if purchased before Nov 1 [Link and directions below]
o skis or a snowboard – these may be rented
o snowpants
o warm gloves (the need for a hat is replaced by the helmet)
o helmet – may be rented; off-brands can be purchased fairly cheaply
o Recommended: balaclava face mask or a face gaiter to keep the face warm. Some students like ski goggles – be aware that some goggles are meant for daytime and block too much light at night
o Students may bring food or purchase food at Holiday Valley
The Ultimate Select passes include 8 lessons, which are especially important for new skiers and snowboarders. Mr. Kenyon will help to guide new skiers and snowboarders around so they become familiar with the process at Holiday Valley and will es**rt them to their first lessons.

The theme for the September Reading Challenge was Building Good Reading Habits, so students were able to play with building materials as well as earn a Lego Bracelet, a PAW, and a certificate. Two students, Scarlett and Clare, also completed the bonus challenge question and won a pizza to Charlies!

Homecoming 2026 brought back all the excitement and pride that make our school special. From spirit days and the parade to powder puff, the pep rally, car smash, and bonfire, it was a week full of fun, tradition, and unforgettable memories. A special thank you to all the students, staff, volunteers, and community members who participated and helped make Homecoming such a success. Your enthusiasm, hard work, and Rebel spirit made the week truly memorable.

CRE held their first Character Education Assembly of the year on Wednesday, September 30th! We specifically celebrated those that were nominated to receive an award due to demonstrating Respect. Students that were nominated earned a certificate and a "Character" cookie! We also awarded six students a PAW (Positive Actions We See) award, which varied from t-shirts, ice cream coupons, a cookie party, hats for the entire grade level, and lunch with Officer BJ! We also recognized two of our current 5th graders, Oni Ashley and Trinity Potocin, who helped design the new "Pawsome" shirts, which students can win throughout the year from the "Paw Wheel!" We're so proud of our Junior Rebels!
