The Dagsboro Police Department will be holding a physical and written test on Saturday, September 19th, 2026, with anticipation for a fall academy. All interested applicants should complete and submit their applications no later than Wednesday, September 16th, 2026.

Applications can be found on the Town of Dagsboro website or on the Join Delaware website, which is posted on our page.

If you do not have access to a computer, applications can be picked up in person at the Dagsboro Town Hall (33134 Main Street, Dagsboro, DE 19939). Completed applications can be emailed to Sgt. Valenti ([email protected]) or hand-delivered to Dagsboro Town Hall.

The Dagsboro Police Department is currently seeking qualified certified and non-certified applicants for one (1) open Patrolman position! Join a dedicated team serving our community with strong support, great schedule flexibility, and excellent benefits.

Dagsboro Police Department Arrest – Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle and Possession with Intent to Distribute

On Friday, August 7th, 2026 officers from the Dagsboro Police Department arrested 24-year-old Brandon Jones on multiple charges, including possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession with intent to deliver and related traffic charges, following a traffic stop.

Jones was arrested without incident and brought before the Justice of the Peace Court 2. Jones was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $202,050 cash bail.

Charges include:

Manufacture/ Deliver Controlled Substance Tier 3 Quantity (Felony) x 2

Possession of a Controlled Substance Tier 3 Quantity (Felony) x 2

Receiving Stolen Property Over $1,500 (Felony)

Driving Without a Valid License (Misdemeanor)
