Numerous interns have been in the program for several years, even while pursuing post-graduate degrees. Priority is given to applicants in Senatorial District 23 (central and southernmost parts of Dallas, Duncanville, DeSoto, Lancaster, Cedar Hill, Cockrell Hill, Hutchins, Grand Prairie, Glenn Heights, Ovila, Wilmer, Ferris, Irving and Mesquite) with consideration of students outside district when applicable. The deadline to apply is Jan. 4, 2021.
We hope you will join us on our YouTube channel (Youtube.com/untdallas) 👨🏻🎓👩🏽🎓tomorrow at 6 p.m. Campus administration and special guest speakers will share their congratulations and thoughts on this important milestone followed by recognition of each graduate (graduate students in alphabetical order followed by undergraduate students in alphabetical order). 📢 Goooooooooood morning, UNT World....
Let's face it, so much is happening in our lives right now and none of it comes with a manual. Juggling our jobs -- many of us working remotely -- family, finances, pets, you-name-it during a pandemic is Herculean stuff. We can all use a hand, support and ideas to help us exhale and thrive in our daily lives. It's why University of North Texas System created a well-being program -- In The Green: UNT World Well-Being.
We provide resources, advice and information, a calendar full of awesome virtual workshops and exercise classes -- wellbeing.untsystem.edu/events -- and more. Let us help you discover new ways to enhance your physical, interpersonal and financial well-being while managing your busy schedule. Whether you're in Denton at the University of North Texas, in Dallas at UNT Dallas or System, or in Fort Worth at UNT Health Science Center, we are family and we're in this together.
We're at our best, personally and professionally, when we take care of ourselves and each other. So check us out and take advantage of everything we have to offer. Follow us on Twitter @UNTWorld and visit us at wellbeing.untystem.edu.
Congratulations to Matt Houston for being one of this year’s recipients for the Juanita Craft Humanitarian Award! 🎉
We hope to see you there!
2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣0️⃣ 's been a wild and extraordinarily challenging year. It has revealed resilience by our students; and leadership, compassion and tireless work ethic by our faculty and staff like Desmond Morris and his Distance Learning and Instructional Technology team. Their efforts to transition #UNTDallas from in-person to fully virtual during Spring 2020, then into summer and now fall, which includes more than 800 virtual courses, allows our students to keep pursuing their dreams with no drop-off in academic delivery or quality. Desmond is our #Fall2020 ON THE MOVE Cover Story. Read about him and much more, including how our new coaches built their inaugural Trailblazers teams during a pandemic; Professor Matt Houston on Black Lives Matter and the School of Business' role in closing the opportunity gap; and VP of Student Access & Success Stephanie Ingram Holley on her team's enrollment success when so many universities across the state and country struggled to meet enrollment goals.

🏅 History is made! #UNTDallas' athletic debut came Saturday at the Crusader Invitational cross country meet at Fossil Creek Park in Haltom City. Our Yessica Araiza dominated the event with a time that topped not only all the women competitors, but the men, too! Our Zyjae Ridley took 2nd on the women's side for a 1-2 sweep; Our Osbaldo Garcia won the men's race with Logan Sisk placing 4th. UNT Dallas athletic Director Jack Allday was there. "I told our student-athletes after the race that one of these days UNT Dallas will have 30,000 students and a football team, and whenever the UNT Dallas Trailblazers come up, they can say, 'Oh yeah, I was on the first team that ever competed in any intercollegiate event for UNT Dallas,' " Allday said. "And that, as my old football coach told us when we won the state championship, 'is something no one can ever take away from you.' "

Excellent piece by Robbie Owens of CBS DFW full of thoughtful expert analysis from #UNTDallas Interim Dean of School of Education Lisa Hobson and Professor Patsy Sosa-Sanchez. Important stuff during difficult and controversial times.
Just weeks into the new school year and already two North Texas school districts have been forced to apologize for questionable assignments.
We are on the move! #UNTDallas delivers high-quality education at low cost. Our students, almost exclusively from urban Dallas communities, are the diverse and skilled future workforce needed for a prosperous #Dallas and #Texas.
It's going against national trends.

North Texas Giving Day 2019, an 18-hour online giving event. Last year, with your help, we raised more than $20,000, all of which went directly to the UNT Dallas Foundation to fund student scholarships. We want to blow away that effort TODAY!! As you know, the majority of our students come from low-income households and many are first-generation college students. Our ability to fund scholarships is essential to allow our students to defray tuition costs, limit student debt upon graduation and, ultimately, realize their dreams of a bright and prosperous future. On this very special North Texas Giving Day your donation will play a significant role in changing the lives of our ambitious, trailblazing students. To donate, please click here: https://www.northtexasgivingday.org/unt-dallas-foundation #DreamsNotDebt #growwithus📈
Thanks CBS DFW for the shoutout. Terrific grand opening for our game-changing Student Center. Great day to be a Trailblazer!

To all those who served and fought for our country who are no longer here, we celebrate your life and heroic efforts today. From everyone at #UNTDallas, we SALUTE you! #HappyMemorialDay 🇺🇸 #blazeyourtrail🐆
State Senator Royce West, whose vision helped to create UNT Dallas and our unique mission as Dallas' emerging urban university, was unable to attend Spring Commencement due to legislative duties in Austin, but that didn't stop him from congratulating our more than 500 graduates and passing along sage advice.
