What does it take to succeed in today’s business world? Our students went straight to the source.

CCIC Business Services Pathway students recently hosted Steve Forbes, chairman and editor-in-chief of Forbes Media, for a live panel where they asked their own questions and explored leadership, entrepreneurship, media, and what’s next for business.

As we close out the school year, we’re celebrating and honoring all of our retiring employees for their years of dedication, service, and impact on our students, staff, and community. ❤️

We also want to recognize two outstanding high school principals on their retirement, Jean Incitti after eight years as principal at Cherokee Trail High School and Gwen Hansen-Vigil after 19 years as principal at Eaglecrest High School.

Thank you for your leadership and the countless lives you’ve influenced throughout your careers. Congratulations to all of our retirees — we wish you the very best in this next chapter! 👏🎉

At the start of the year, students in Visual Arts at Sky Vista Middle School designed sketchbook covers that reflected who they were🎨.

Now, as the year wraps up, those same sketchbooks represent just how much students have grown creatively and personally along the way.

Through art, students explored their identities, took creative risks, and learned to trust their own ideas in a classroom led by Kelly Smith and AEP Apprentice Jordan Cox.

“We want [our students] to learn the design process, learn how to navigate themselves through art making, how to start with the planning process and do the reflecting and the problem solving.” — Kelly Smith
